ProVida 2000 is Petards proven, system for recording moving traffic offences, with built in PolicePilot Time/Distance Speed Measurement.
The ProVida 2000 provides a fully featured and certified mobile recording system for installation into enforcement vehicles. Whether pursuing a target vehicle, interviewing a suspect on the back seat or observing covertly to the rear, the ProVida 2000 is capable of capturing this and storing it onto a Hard Drive. The latest version of ProVida 2000 permits both simultaneous recording and replay so the reactions of the suspect sitting on the back seat can be recorded whilst being shown the offence on the local monitor.
For the specific offence of speeding the unit incorporates the well established PolicePilot system of Time/Distance Speed Measurement. This permits the user to calculate the speed of a target vehicle whilst themselves not breaking the speed limit. All the measurement data is burned onto the video image before recording.
Petards also think hard about reducing the users time in processing the recordings. The Hard Drive is mounted in a caddy to permit quick removal. And for back at base a transfer station can also be purchased that permits very quick copying of the Hard Drive and then later selection of the material for long-term storage. All this material is protected from tampering. For off-line viewing it is possible to convert the material for transmission over the internet or burning locally onto DVDs.
