CMDS

Petards Joyce-Loebl provides a full range of technical support services for Countermeasures Dispensing Systems (CMDS) - including the licensed manufacture of the internationally renowned ALE-47 Threat Adaptive Countermeasures Dispensing System (TACDS) - that are in use with the British Army, the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy across a range of Fast Jet, Rotary Wing, and Transport platforms.

The ALE-47 is being integrated into a range of Defensive Aids Suites (DAS), and Petards Joyce-Loebl is supporting these developments with their wealth of technical knowledge in installation design and trials support.

Electronic Countermeasure SystemsMWS

Petards Joyce-Loebl’s Gateshead site is equipped with a full depot repair and refurbishment facility for the AAR-47 Missile Warning System equipment providing a cost-effective, fast turnaround service.

This was established as the first full facility outside of the US, and is  approved as a European Base for maintenance of the full range of AAR-47 versions including the Laser Warning  function of the (V)2 generation.

Pre-Flight Message Creation and Validation

ALE-47Petards Joyce-Loebl has developed a Pre-Flight Message / Mission Data File Validation Facility for the ALE 47 TACDS that is installed on the majority of the UK’s military aircraft.

The validation equipment allows the Service’s engineers to fully exercise a development PFM/MDF, including its integration with associated elements of a Defensive Aids Suite, before it is installed on an aircraft.  This facility enables enormous reductions in flight line testing and verification to be made.
